glIntercept is a *very* useful utility for debugging rendering issues: it can record all GL commands issued for a single frame, allowing the states set etc. to be examined in detail. glIntercept can be downloaded for Windows at http://glintercept.nutty.org/.
For information on how to set up glIntercept look into the documentation provided in the package.
res recommends to use his favorite configuration (don't forget to adjust paths!) and a slightly customized XSL stylesheet when making logs - press Shift+Control+F and you'll get a frame log.
